Every shortcut teaches you something about what you’re willing to sacrifice for convenience.

RESILIENCE
Every time you take the faster route, you are also making a small statement about what you are prepared to trade. Sometimes the trade is sensible and the thing given up genuinely did not matter. Sometimes what you gave away was care, honesty, or your own sense of doing things properly, and you will notice the cost long after the time saved has been forgotten. Shortcuts are cheap in the moment and expensive in aggregate.
After your next shortcut, name what you actually traded. Time saved for quality lost, or effort avoided for trust spent. The habit of naming it is usually enough to make you more selective about which ones you take.
