Refilling something before anyone needs it is a small piece of thinking about other people. It requires noticing a thing that is not yet a problem and doing the work in the gap, which means the benefit is felt as an absence: nobody stands at an empty jar, so nobody registers the care. That is how a great deal of household labour disappears from the record.
Try naming it when you notice it, since the person doing it almost never mentions it themselves. And where you are the one who always finds things full, spend a week being the one who fills them.
What do you leave empty for the next person to handle?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
