REFLECTION
Views picked up from other people work perfectly well until they are tested. You can hold one for years, agree fluently, and only discover when questioned that you know the conclusion and none of the reasoning, which is an uncomfortable thing to find out in public. The discomfort is not proof that the view is wrong; it is proof that it is not yet yours.
Take a position you hold strongly and try to state the best case against it, in full and without mockery. If you cannot, you have found where the borrowing is, and the repair is reading rather than defending.
Which of your opinions could you not defend if pressed?
