The unfinished project can wait without demanding that interest remain exactly as it was.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
An unfinished thing does not have to be returned to in the same spirit it was started in. Enthusiasm is not a contract, and coming back a year later with different intentions, a smaller ambition, or the decision to end it is a legitimate outcome rather than a betrayal of your earlier self. The guilt usually comes from thinking the old interest must be reproduced before the work is allowed to continue.
Look at something stalled and decide, deliberately, one of three things: finish it smaller, put it away properly, or let it go. Any of those beats the low hum of an open project you are not doing.
Which unfinished thing could you return to differently later?
