A repeated chore can become a source of resentment when its completion is treated as invisible nature.

The bin does not empty itself, though a household can quietly start behaving as though it does. What stings after a while is not the effort but the assumption, the way a finished job registers as weather rather than as something a person did. Resentment grows in the gap between the work and the noticing. Acknowledgement is cheaper than help and often more wanted.
Name one thing in your home that simply happens, and find out who makes it happen. Say so aloud, without turning it into a negotiation. And if you are the one doing the invisible job, you are allowed to ask for it to be seen.
Whose repeated work in your life have you started treating as weather?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
