Make enough things that perfection loses its power to prevent beginnings.

Perfectionism survives on scarcity. When you make very few things, each one carries the entire weight of proving something about you, and that weight is what makes starting so hard. Volume dissolves it, because the twentieth attempt cannot possibly be a referendum on your worth.
Set a number rather than a standard for a while. Ten drawings, five drafts, thirty small attempts. Judge them as a group at the end instead of one at a time, and notice how much easier beginning becomes once no single piece is decisive.
What have you not started because the first attempt would be poor?
