The quiet practice session builds coordination that a dramatic speech cannot supply.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Groups do not become coordinated by being told to be. What actually produces it is repetition together in low-stakes conditions: knowing where someone will be, how they call for something, what their hesitation looks like. Words can raise the temperature of a room for an afternoon, and only shared practice changes what the group can do under pressure.
If you lead anything, spend more of your effort on ordinary rehearsal than on the rousing moment. Run the awkward part twice. When it matters, people fall back on what their bodies have done before, not on what they were told they were capable of.
Where are you giving speeches when repetition is what is missing?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
