Gratitude is noticing value before absence has to explain it.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Loss is an unreliable teacher because it teaches too late. Absence makes value obvious by removing it, and gratitude is the practice of arriving at the same recognition while the thing is still here. It is less a mood than an act of attention performed early.
Pick one ordinary part of your life and describe what would actually change if it vanished. Not dramatically, just concretely. Then let that description alter how you treat it this week, even in some small way that nobody else notices.
What would you miss immediately if it vanished from your life tonight?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
