Wealth is not his that has it, but his that enjoys it.

— Benjamin Franklin

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Owning something and getting anything from it are two different states, and plenty of people manage the first without ever reaching the second. Money sitting untouched while you worry about it does nothing that not having it would not also do. The same goes for a house you are never in and a holiday you spend working. Possession is only the first half of the transaction.

Take one thing you own and are not using, and either use it this month or let it go. If you have savings you are anxious about, decide what they are actually for. An unnamed purpose is what turns money into worry.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What do you own but never actually take pleasure in?
