We know the truth, not only by the reason, but also by the heart.

STILLNESS
Some things you are sure of without being able to argue for them, and that is no defect in your reasoning. Whether someone can be trusted, whether a room has gone wrong, whether a decision is right: these often register before any case can be made, and the case, when you build it, is assembled afterwards to explain what you already knew. Reason is not the only instrument you have. It is the one easiest to show other people.
When your reasoning and your instinct disagree, do not simply overrule the instinct because it cannot defend itself. Ask what it might be picking up that the argument has left out.
What do you know to be true without being able to argue it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
