Some things become priceless only because they were once treated as ordinary.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Things acquire their value from context, and the context often only becomes clear once the thing is gone or scarce. An old photograph, a habit shared with someone, a phrase nobody says any more, all were treated as unremarkable while they were plentiful. Ordinary is a description of supply, not of worth.
Ask what you currently have in abundance that will one day be rare. Treat a little of it as though it were already precious. Some things can be preserved by attention alone.
Which everyday thing from an earlier year do you now treasure?
