Vice stings us, even in our pleasures, but virtue consoles us, even in our pains.

LEADERSHIP
There is a difference in how things sit with you afterwards. Something you are not at ease with will spoil its own enjoyment, leaving a small residue in the middle of the pleasure itself, while something you did well stays steady even when it turns out badly and you are paying for it. That afterwards is where the real accounting happens. It is available to nobody but you.
When a choice is close, use the morning-after test rather than the in-the-moment one. Ask which version of it you would rather be carrying next week, and let that settle the matter.
Which pleasure of yours leaves a bad taste every time?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
