To make a young couple love each other, it is only necessary to oppose and separate them.

CREATIVITY
Opposition converts an ordinary attachment into a cause. Once two people have something to defend, every difficulty becomes proof of how much it matters, and the doubts that would have surfaced on their own get buried under the fight. The feeling is real, it is just partly manufactured by the resistance rather than by the two of them. Anyone who has tried to warn a friend off someone has watched this happen.
If you disapprove of a choice someone close to you is making, say it once, clearly, and then stop. Pressing harder mostly gives them a reason to hold on that has nothing to do with the choice itself.
Whose disapproval made you cling harder to something or someone?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
