No hand can make the clock strike for me the hours that are passed.

STILLNESS
Time already spent is not available for revision. No amount of regret reaches back and rearranges an hour, which is why going over it has a way of consuming the hours you still have. What is left to you is always forward: the next hour, and what you put in it.
If a particular stretch of the past keeps replaying, try giving it a fixed place, a walk or a page in a notebook, and then leaving it there. Some of it will need longer than that, and it should have it. The test is whether looking back teaches you something or only repeats.
Which years would you ask for back if asking worked?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
