LEADERSHIP
Doing something decent and then pointing at it converts the act into a claim on other people. The alternative is simpler than modesty: you do it because it was there to be done, and then go on to the next one. No ledger is being kept.
This week, do one useful thing and deliberately leave it unmentioned, including in the small ways, the hint, the story told later. Notice the urge to have it noticed. When it fades, you will find the doing was easier than the reporting ever was.
Which good deed did you make sure someone heard about?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
