Of everything there is to admire, the thing worth valuing most is whatever does the ordering: the sense that arranges the parts and puts them to use. In a person that is judgment, the faculty that decides what the talents and the appetites are for. Skills without it get spent on whatever happens to be in front of them.

Invest in the ordering part this week rather than in another capability. An hour spent on what your work is actually for, or on which commitments belong together, returns more than an hour practising something you can already do.
