Purpose can be ordinary and still be profound.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Purpose is imagined as something grand and distant, which means most people never recognize the one they have. Feeding people, teaching a skill, keeping something running, caring for someone reliably, all of it is ordinary in description and profound in effect. The scale of the language has nothing to do with the depth of the thing.
Stop waiting for something large enough to qualify. Look at what you already do that would leave a hole. That is what purpose looks like from the inside.
Which ordinary duty of yours quietly holds real weight?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
