A good life may contain fewer impressive stories and more peaceful mornings.

REFLECTION
A good story requires conflict and novelty, which is why lives optimized for stories are often unpleasant to live. Peace is undramatic by definition and does not narrate well, so it gets undervalued by anyone judging from the outside, including sometimes yourself.
Ask whether you would rather have the anecdote or the morning. There is no universal answer and it is worth actually choosing rather than defaulting. Many people discover they have been collecting stories they did not enjoy acquiring.
