What you contribute can matter long after the moment stops remembering your name.

Effects outlast attribution. Something you taught, built, or set in motion keeps operating long after anyone connects it to you, and that separation is normal rather than sad. The contribution does not become less real when the name falls off it.

If you need your name attached to make the work worthwhile, that is worth examining. Ask what you would still build knowing it would be uncredited within a decade. Most of what lasts falls into that category.
