Some profitable moves cost more than they pay. Taking the money can tie you to the wrong person, set a precedent you will regret, or buy you a reputation you cannot shed, and none of that appears in the arithmetic at the time. Deciding to lose on purpose is occasionally the sound decision.
When a gain is available this week, look past the immediate figure to what it commits you to. Ask what you would have to keep doing afterwards. If the answer is unattractive, take the loss cleanly and be glad it was only money.
What money have you walked away from and never regretted?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
