Sometimes significance is simply being reliable where somebody desperately needed reliability.

Reliability is unglamorous and, at certain moments in a person’s life, it is everything. Being the one who showed up, answered, or kept the promise when someone had nothing else steady is a form of significance that will never look like one from outside. It is felt entirely by the person who needed it.

Think about who currently needs you to be dependable. Being that, consistently, may be the most consequential thing you do this year.
