LEADERSHIP
The same act carries different weight depending on what it came from. A gift given out of obligation and one given out of genuine care look identical on the receipt and feel nothing alike to the person receiving them. People are surprisingly good at detecting the difference, even when they could not say how.
Before doing something for someone, check what is actually moving you. If it is duty or appearance, either find the real feeling underneath it or do the thing plainly without dressing it as affection. And where you do care, let that show in the doing rather than only in the size of the gesture.
Which good deed of yours came from duty rather than feeling?
