Experience does take dreadfully high school-wages, but he teaches like no other.

CREATIVITY
Experience charges more than any other teacher and explains things nobody else can. The lesson arrives after the money is gone, the job is lost or the relationship has ended, which is a terrible arrangement and also the only way certain things get learned. The cost is already sunk by the time the teaching begins.
Given that you have paid, collect what you bought. Take the worst thing that happened to you in the last two years and write down, plainly, what you would recognise earlier next time. Most people carry the expense and never take delivery of the lesson, which is the one part of this that is optional.
What lesson did you pay dearly for and never forget?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
