Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Discovering what is actually yours takes experiment and a fair amount of being wrong, and it cannot be settled by reading other people’s answers. Giving yourself to it once found is the harder half, and it is where most people hedge, keeping one foot outside so that failure will not count fully. Both halves are work, though only the second one looks like it.

If you are still in the finding stage, treat that as legitimate rather than as delay. If you already know and have been half-committed, name the hedge you are keeping and consider what one week of full effort would look like.
