One who is too insistent on his own views, finds few to agree with him.

CREATIVITY
Pressing a view too hard often works against it. When people feel pushed they defend themselves instead of weighing the argument, and the more insistent you become, the more agreeing feels like losing. A position offered lightly leaves the other person room to arrive at it on their own, which is where most real persuasion happens.
Next time you feel the urge to repeat your point more forcefully, ask a question instead. Say what you think once, clearly, and let it stand. People often come round when they no longer have to concede to you in order to do it.
Whose mind have you pushed at so hard they stopped listening?
