Great thoughts speak only to the thoughtful mind, but great actions speak to all mankind.

— Theodore Roosevelt

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

An idea needs a prepared listener; a deed needs nobody’s permission to be understood. What you actually do travels further than what you articulate, and it reaches people who would never sit still for the reasoning behind it. Action is the version of your beliefs that everybody can read.

If you have been trying to convince someone and getting nowhere, consider stopping and simply doing the thing. Let the result carry the argument. That is slower to start and a great deal harder to dismiss.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What action would say what your explanations keep failing to?
