Ambition should make your standards taller, not your ego.

LEADERSHIP
The healthy version of ambition raises what you consider acceptable in the work. The unhealthy version raises what you consider acceptable about yourself. They can look similar from outside and they lead to entirely different places, because one keeps you learning and the other makes you unteachable at exactly the moment you need to be taught.
Ask whether your recent progress has made you harder on your output or easier on your behaviour. If the standards went up and the humility went down, that is the pattern to catch. The correction is usually to seek out one person who can tell you plainly where the work falls short.
