Suppressed grief suffocates, it rages within the breast, and is forced to multiply its strength.

STILLNESS
Grief that is pushed down does not disappear. Held in, it builds pressure, turning up as irritability, exhaustion, sleeplessness or sudden overwhelming moments that seem to come from nowhere. What is not allowed out tends to find its own way, often at a worse time and with more force.
If you are grieving and have been holding it together for others, that is understandable. There is no correct way to let it out. Some people find release in talking, some in writing, some in crying alone in the car. Allowing even a little of it somewhere safe can make the rest easier to carry.
What grief have you kept quiet longer than you meant to?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
