Fight the obstacle with strategy, not merely volume.
LEADERSHIP
Pushing harder is the first response to an obstacle and often the least effective. Volume works on problems that are simply large, and most problems are not simply large. They have a structure, a weak point, an order of operations, and finding those takes a different kind of attention than the one that wants to charge.
Before your next big push, spend twenty minutes on how the obstacle is actually built. Ask what would have to be true for it to give way. Then apply the effort at that point, and keep the capacity for volume in reserve for when it is genuinely the answer.
