Do not ask a tool to compensate for unclear thinking.

New tools do not supply clarity you do not have. A better system for organising work will not tell you what matters, and a faster way to produce things will not tell you what to produce. When thinking is unclear, adding a tool usually produces a more efficient version of the confusion, which is why people can be endlessly busy with setup and never further along.

If you are looking for a new app or method, ask first what decision you are avoiding. Write the answer in a sentence. If you cannot, the tool will not help, and the sentence is the actual work.
