Once movement begins helping you, stop interrupting it unnecessarily.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Once things are running, there is a temptation to improve the setup, add a new element, or take an opportunity, and each of those interrupts something that was working. The interruption always looks small at the time and the cost of restarting is always larger than expected. When you are being helped by motion, the main job is to avoid stopping it.
During a productive stretch, put a hold on changes. Write down the improvements you think of and revisit them later. Keeping conditions boring while things are working is one of the more valuable disciplines available.
What do you interrupt your own good work with?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
