Excellence is often a collection of things you refused to leave slightly wrong.

RESILIENCE
Very few things are excellent because of one dramatic decision. Most are excellent because someone went back and fixed a hundred small things that were nearly right, each of which could have been left alone without anyone noticing. The sum of those refusals is what separates work that is fine from work that is genuinely good.
Next time something is almost right and you are ready to move on, fix it anyway. Then do that once more. The habit matters more than any individual correction, and it is built one small refusal at a time.
