Readiness is stored decision-making.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Decisions made in advance are stored somewhere you can reach them when thinking is expensive. In an urgent moment, you are not smarter than you were before; you are usually less capable, and what saves you is having already worked something out. Readiness is judgment put in a jar for later.
Identify a recurring situation where you consistently decide badly under pressure and make the decision now, in writing, for the next time it arises. Set the rule while you are calm. Then in the moment your only job is to follow the person who had time to think.
Which decision could you make once and stop revisiting?
