Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.

REFLECTION
Meaning arrives late. The pattern in a stretch of years only shows up once the years are over, which means you spend the living without the pattern, guessing. Most of the pressure you feel to have it figured out comes from expecting a clarity that is only available in hindsight. You are not slow. You are simply in the part where the view is blocked.
When you catch yourself demanding to know how something turns out before you commit to it, notice what you are really asking for. Make the next choice on the little you can see, and write down why. The reasons will make sense to you later.
Which decision are you judging harshly with knowledge you lacked then?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
