Responsibility is the price of freedom.

Every freedom you actually have comes with something you have to carry. Choose your own work and the outcome is yours. Choose your own life and no one else can be blamed for how it goes. People often want the choosing without the carrying, and when that fails they trade the freedom away for the comfort of being told what to do.

Look at one area where you feel unfree and ask what responsibility you would have to accept in order to change it. Then take a small piece of that weight on purpose, before anyone hands it to you.
