GRATITUDE
Forgiveness gets mistaken for surrender, as though letting something go were the same as losing. It tends to run the other way. A held grievance keeps you tied to whoever caused it, rehearsing their part in your head at your own expense, while setting it down ends their claim on your attention. None of that asks you to pretend the harm was small.
Think of one thing you have been carrying that is no longer doing you any good. You do not owe anyone reconciliation, or a conversation, or an explanation. See what it is like to stop adding to the account.
Who could you forgive instead of finally winning against?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
