Quiet confidence does not confuse attention with respect.

REFLECTION
Attention and respect can look similar from a distance and are entirely different in substance. Attention comes and goes with novelty; respect accumulates from behaviour over time, and cannot be produced by being interesting. Chasing the first often costs you the second.
Ask what you actually want in a given situation: to be noticed, or to be trusted. If it is the second, the moves are different and slower. Do not let the availability of attention distract you from work that earns something more durable.
Are you chasing attention when you actually want respect?
