LEADERSHIP
Hiding what you are good at gets called modesty when it is usually closer to avoidance. Using an ability means being seen, compared, and eventually judged on it, and not using it keeps all of that at a safe distance. The cost is quiet and ongoing. Something that could have existed does not, and you never find out what it would have been.
Do one small public thing with it this month. Enter, submit, perform, volunteer, show one person. Being visible is the price, and it is smaller than the alternative.
Is there an ability of yours going completely unused?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
