Ten thousand followers and nobody to call at 2am isn’t success. It’s an audience.

An audience and a circle are different things that can look alike from inside. One watches and the other shows up. Numbers are easy to see and easy to grow, while the people who would answer at a terrible hour get built slowly and never appear on a profile.

Name the two or three people you could call in the middle of the night. If that list is short or empty, it is not a failure, just something worth working on. Reach out to one person this week for an ordinary reason.
