Timelines for a life are mostly invented, and the anxiety about being behind is usually measured against people whose circumstances you cannot see. Things happen when the conditions are right, and conditions differ enormously. Arriving later does not produce a smaller version of the thing.

Notice when you are checking your progress against somebody else’s calendar. Swap the question for what you could actually do this month. The pace was never the achievement, and nobody asks afterward how long it took.
