Money solves a specific and real set of problems, and there is nothing noble about pretending otherwise. What it does not do is stay in anyone’s memory. The things people repeat about a person years later are almost always about what they made easier for someone else. Both matter, they just get measured on different clocks.

Keep chasing a living, and alongside it pick one thing you do that helps somebody directly. Notice which one you would still do in a week where nobody thanked you.
