Learn one real skill this year. Future you will be cashing that check for decades.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Skills differ from most purchases because they keep producing after you stop paying for them. An ability you build at seventeen is still working at thirty, in jobs that do not exist yet. Very little else you spend a year on behaves that way. The return starts slowly and then runs for a very long time.
Choose one, narrow enough to name in three words, and give it a few hours a week until it is real. Narrow beats broad, because narrow can actually be finished. Then let the next one build on it.
Which single skill would still pay you in ten years?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
