Even in a tight box, you still get to decide which way you face.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Some situations really are narrow. A job you cannot leave yet, a class you have to pass, a house with rules that are not yours to change: the walls are real, and pretending otherwise does not help. What stays yours inside that is direction, which is smaller than freedom but not nothing. Two people in the same tight spot can face completely different ways.

Find the one square foot you do control this week and use it deliberately. What you read on the bus, who you sit with, what you do with the last twenty minutes before bed all count.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

In a setup you cannot change, which direction are you facing?
