Quitting at the first failure means you only ever learn the easiest lesson.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
First attempts teach the surface. They tell you the thing is harder than it looked, which is real information and also the least useful kind available, and leaving at that point means collecting that same lesson over and over in different subjects. The specific, valuable material only shows up in the second and third attempt.
This is not an argument against quitting anything. It is an argument for deciding after attempt three rather than attempt one. If it still is not for you then, you will walk away with something.
Did you quit something after failing it exactly once?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
