Creativity isn’t only paint and guitars. The kid who finds a faster way to do the chores is inventing too.

Filing creativity under art leaves most of it unrecognized. Working out a faster route through a job, building a system so the dishes stop piling up, inventing a shortcut nobody taught you, all of it is the same move: see what exists, imagine a better version, make the change. The materials differ and the thinking does not. People convinced they are not creative are often doing it daily somewhere unglamorous.

Look at your week for a place where you improved a process without being asked. Name it as the invention it was. Then point the same attention at something you have been tolerating instead of fixing.
