Save the worst stuff you made at the start. Someday it becomes your receipt that nobody begins talented.

Everyone starts bad, and the evidence keeps getting deleted by the people who would benefit from it most. Your early work is proof that the distance from beginner to competent gets crossed by ordinary practice, not by talent arriving. On a bad week that proof is worth more than encouragement from anyone else. It is also the only honest before picture you will ever have.
Dig out the earliest thing you still have and keep it somewhere safe. Add one piece each year without judging it. When you are convinced you are not improving, put the two ends of the collection next to each other.
Do you still have the first thing you ever made?
