You don’t need a new topic. Love, school, family, loss have been done. Your angle on them hasn’t.

There are no unused subjects. Everything worth writing about has been written about constantly, because those are the things that happen to people, and hunting for untouched territory is a reliable way never to start. What has not been used is your particular view of it, built from details nobody else was standing close enough to see.

Take the most ordinary subject you have and write the version only you could write. Put in the specific room, the specific argument, the bit you are slightly embarrassed to include. That specificity is the entire difference.
