Take out the trash like it matters. People notice who acts above the job.

RESILIENCE
Nobody is impressed by the task itself. What gets noticed is the gap between how small a job is and how seriously you treat it, because early on that gap is the only real information anyone has about you. Someone who bags the trash properly and wipes the lid is telling the room they do not need work to be important before they do it well. That reputation arrives long before any title does.
Find the lowest task on your shift this week and do it to the standard you would want for something big. Do not announce it. Let it be the thing somebody mentions later.
Which small chore do you do badly because nobody cares?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
