The labels you give yourself turn into the excuses you give everybody else.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
A description becomes a permission slip. Call yourself disorganized often enough and it stops being a complaint and turns into an explanation you can hand over whenever something goes wrong, which removes any reason to fix it. The label began as a summary of behavior and quietly became the cause of it. Nobody argues with a fixed trait, including the person who has it.
Listen for the phrase you use about yourself most and try a week without saying it. Describe the specific thing that happened instead, because behavior can be argued with in a way identity cannot.
