Every group has one person everybody can count on. It’s a job with no title and all the respect.

In any group there is somebody who quietly becomes the one people ask, and nobody ever appointed them. The position gets earned by answering messages, doing what was agreed, and being there when it is inconvenient, repeated until it is simply assumed. It comes with extra work and no recognition on paper, and it is also the most durable standing there is.

If you want that role, take one thing nobody else wants and never drop it. If you already have it, hold some limits so it stays something you can keep doing.
